xFeed RSS Reader App Reviews

Very buggy

Works simply when it is not crashing. Too may bugs and crashing issues. i am deleting this.

Its OK

I love the idea of going to the actual website within the xFeed app with my iPad. It works great for password-protected websites, too. However, the updates does not show any changes, regardless how many times I have to refresh the xFeed app to get updates. I only see the first feed from password-protected sites, Ill give it 5 stars if the refresh feeds are fixed.

No updates

Auto update not working at all for me

Missing critical functionality

Im revising my review upward as I use it more. Its still not great, though it is good. What will make this a great app:

Best RSS reader. Works great for iPhone/iPad

This is the best RSS app Ive come across. Works great on iPhone and iPad. I recommend this to everyone. 5 stars thank you!

Great App that works wo google

This app has worked well for me. Especially happy that I knew about it after the google announcement

iOS 6

This is the greatest RSS reader for the iPad there is. The current version syncs the articles faster than ever. No other RSS app allows you the freedom this one dose and if I could give it 10 stars I would. Thanks for making my mornings great with the ability to read every newspaper I add!!

Twitter

Unfortunately lacks Twitter and FaceBook interface

Working great again

Thx for fixing the problem with summaries displaying improperly. Its back to being a lean, efficient RSS news reader for me. Highly recommended. My only suggestions would be put more space and preferably color code the icons for Saving an article and Deleting an article; I cant tell you how many times I tapped the Delete icon instead of the Save icon while trying to quickly read through my feeds. Man!! (Id suggest having the Save icon the same Orange color as the feeds that are saved display, and Red for the Delete icon. And, please, neither icon should be middle icon; maybe keep Save to the left, and Delete to the right. Sounds like a small thing, but really helps when trying to be quick reading...) Highly recommended. Once you get your preferred feeds worked out, nothing is faster or leaner. Much appreciated!

Clean lines but...

I dont see where to import my previous feed list and i do not want to build it again. Nor do I see that I can customize folders beyond Favorites. Just got app a few minutes ago, but these are 2 must haves for me. On other rss apps, at least one can go to website and import ompl file but I don t see that here. Am I missing it ? Hard to see whether I like app without feeds.

Ok, but

A decently working app but only three stars for not being able to mark all read. You have to go into each individual feed o mark it read. A glaring omission to me. That needs to be addressed and Id up my rating.

Okay, but starting to feel dated

I need more. The "open in Safari" option is very inconsistent, or my feeds are all incorrectly formatted. I seem to remember it working at some point, But it hasnt worked in some time. Feeds must be manually added. The app wont simply pull the RSS feed if you point it to the top level domain. So, right now this app is a simple headline aggregator requiring me to go out with another app to find further information or to read the particular articles. It works, but I think Ill be looking around for another.

Needs an iOS 7 overhaul!

The app works great with a KIS (Keep it Simple) in mind but it still has a rather outdated UI which is an eyesore on iOS 7. Its great nonetheless those who dont rely on subscriptions or account linked feeds like me. But since updating to iOS 7 if I load the original post on the website it always shoots to the bottom of the page by itself and Id have to scroll back up to find where I left off and then a few seconds later it does it again. Thats gotten to be an annoyance, and is enough for me to seek another rss app which is a pity.

Im impressed!!!!

Im not the worlds most technical person, which is why I loved the fact that this app as pro as it looks is so easy to navigate! Its efficient, quick! Really cool!!!

Worthless

Does not put feeds in alphabetical order. Will accept some feeds but indicates others can only be viewed on iPhone, not iPad.

Great app!

It’s a great feed reader. An iCloud Sync would help us a lot to keep the same configurations on all iDevices :-)

Design Update! Yes!

Love the new look and feel. Type is much cleaner too. I like the quick drag load--though it took me a sec to realize to do it, I kept hitting the refresh for one feed button. Overall a great improvement.

The last of its kind?!

This app is a jewel in a pile of ... junk ... that is the sad state of rss feed apps these days. My requirements were simple: Avoid subscription services (I care about privacy) Group and navigate articles by RSS feed Option to open articles in Safari Stability (does not crash) Free to use I used "RSS Reader" for a couple years until it became so buggy and unstable after their latest redesign that it became completely unusable. I gave up on it after giving the devs a month to get their stuff together. To my amazement none of the first 20-30 apps in IOS App Store met the simple requirements above. A big thank you to the devs! I hope this app gains in popularity as its beautiful in how simple, efficient and organized it is.

My toilet buddy

It’s nice to catch up on all of my news while taking a dump. xFeed allows me to accomplish this in the most efficient way. By the time I’m ready to wipe, I have read everything I need to get my day started. I applaud the creator for the clean design, easy to use interface, and building a lightweight app that runs efficiently on all of my apple devices, old and new. Cheers!

Best Feed Reader

So far the best feed reader Ive found on any mobile or desktop OS. I am not really a fan of IOS or Apple in general (see all of you showing at my front door with "pitchfork & torches" on your iPad screens threatening my life). I do enjoy the large screen of the iPad Pro as well as 3 favorite exclusive apps on the iOs. This app helps keeps me favoring my iPad in lieu of grabbing another device for entertainment purposes. Chillax! Aloha.
